Delivery, Cancellations and Warranty

We fulfil the majority of our deliveries with our own vehicle fleet and trained drivers in order to maintain a high level of customer service and to minimise damage in transit. We also use a trusted courier service that will deliver items to further afield areas from us and when we are at our peak season.

Our furniture is delivered fully assembled for your immediate and stress-free enjoyment. If assembly isn’t required, for example if there are certain access issues or if you’d simply prefer, this can be arranged prior to delivery providing we have been made aware of this.

We deliver to mainland England, Wales, Isle of Wight and parts of Scotland.

We usually deliver within two weeks of receiving your order.

Should we have insufficient stock, we will notify you on this and can either refund the order, or place on back order so the item can be delivered when we have stock. 

Scotland

Delivery to parts of Scotland will be advised of the cost after receiving the order. We regret we don’t deliver to the Highlands or the Islands.

Isle of Wight & Islands, Isle of Man and Northern Ireland

Delivery to Isle of Wight will be advised at the time of ordering with us, we regret we don’t offer delivery to the Isle of Man and Northern Ireland.

Overseas delivery

We regret we don’t offer delivery overseas. Should you wish to arrange your own courier, this can be arranged.

We deliver within certain timeslots and will contact you before the delivery date confirming a time that is convenient to you.

At the time of order, please do make us aware of any access issues for parking of vans. Ocean Teak cannot be held responsible for any damage caused as a result of there being insufficient access to place items.

All furniture delivered by us will be placed in an area of your choice, not just delivered to your door. When using a courier service, this has to be signed for and will be dropped off at the address. It is the customer’s responsibility to inspect all items upon delivery. In extremely rare cases, should an item arrive damaged, this needs to be reported to us immediately.

Smaller items such as cushions, some parasols and accessories will be delivered via Parcelforce or other courier. These will generally be dispatched within 3 working days.

Cancellation, returns and exchange

You can cancel your order up to 7 calendar days after you’ve placed an order with us. Simply send us an email or give us a call and this will be processed immediately. You cannot cancel your order if the goods have been inseparably mixed with other items after delivery. For instance, if a teak oil/care product has been applied. You will be deemed to have accepted the goods and you will not be able to cancel.

Returns

All returns must be in a saleable condition. You must bear the cost of returning the goods to us. Refunds/exchanges will be made when we have received the goods back. We cannot accept goods back that are found to be unnecessarily handled or have been inseparably mixed i.e. – a teak oil/product has been applied.

There may be a deduction on goods that are not in the same condition in which they were delivered. Refunds will be made within 3 working days after receiving them back. Any goods that are found to be structurally faulty, will be refunded or exchanged.

Warranty

We hope you have many years enjoying your furniture purchased from us. In the unlikely event a problem will occur, we guarantee our products for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery. We warrant that our products are fit for their intended purpose and are free from defects and manufacturers' faults. These are defined as imperfections or workmanship that will impair the use of the product.

Our warranty policy does not cover small cracks or ‘checking’, these are natural occurrences with teak and do not affect the structural integrity of the product. Full details on ‘checking’ can be found on our care page.

Black spotting/marks are not covered under our warranty policy as they are a natural occurrence with all teak products.

Goods that have been purchased within our SHOW PRICES or CLEARANCE SALE; warranty is only covered for a period of 30 days.

Goods that are found to have a structural defect will be replaced or repaired. Any goods that have been treated with a care product i.e. – oil/care are not covered under the warranty policy.

Should a claim need to be made, send us an email with images of the issue and details of the order and we will endeavor to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
